Media campaigns
If we want our message to reach the mainstream of public consciousness, we need to develop a relationship with the mass-media. We are in the process of setting up a structure that will allow us to place our own sound-bite in the right media, at the right time, i.e. when and where news on subjects such as nanotechnology, stem-cell research, etc, are reported.
GET INVOLVED
This project revolves, at present, upon three main goals:
1) Building up a thorough list of UK media contacts for our press releases. You can help by getting in touch with us to check where we are with this at present, and help us to fill the gaps.
2) Setting up a list of experts in specific areas we can consult on short notice when writing press releases. You can help by volunteering to be on this list, if your area of expertise is relevant to UKTA's activities.
3) Setting up a "rapid reaction task force" to quickly write and dispatch reactive press-releases on breaking news. Do you have any press-release writing experience? Can you write short, clear, concise articles quickly and on short notice?
